Start/End of the tour in your hotel or in the Plaza de Armas of the city of Urubamba
At 8:30 a.m., our Peru Alive guide will pick you up from your hotel in your private vehicle for private tours. For fixed departures, the meeting point will be the Plaza de Armas in Urubamba, a vibrant town in the Sacred Valley. From here, we will embark on a transformative journey, following the sacred waters of the Vilcanota River, also known as the Wilkamayo River, for approximately 30 minutes until we reach the impressive archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo, a living Inca village.
In Ollantaytambo, we will explore its ancient temples, where perfectly assembled stone structures stand as a testament to advanced Inca engineering, spiritual wisdom, and sacred energy. This sacred site, rich in history, offers a profound connection to the soul of the Andean world.
You will then have 30 minutes to explore the local artisan market, where traditional Andean textiles and handicrafts showcase the cultural legacy of the Andean people. Our journey continues to the mystical portal of Ñaupa Iglesia or Choquequilla, known as the Gateway to the Third Dimension. This is an ancient spiritual site where the Incas connected with the cosmos and the divine forces of the universe. Energy flows here in a unique way, awakening the spirits of those who visit. At this sacred site, we will take a short walk and participate in a presentation on the Andean-Amazonian worldview. We will also be assisted by an Andean priest or shaman (subject to availability), who will explain the sacred offering rituals to connect with Pachamama (Mother Earth) on this spiritual pilgrimage.
Our spiritual journey continues to Maras and Moray, two archaeological gems steeped in mystery and ancient wisdom.
Moray, with its circular terraces, was a center of Inca agricultural experimentation, where Mother Nature and sacred knowledge converged in perfect harmony. At your disposal, we can visit the Maras Salt Mines, with more than 3,000 crystalline salt pools, offering a stunning visual spectacle and a deep connection with the healing energy of the Earth. Or we can head to the Qolqas de Cheqoq archaeological site, an ancient agricultural storage center. Here, we will learn about the importance of corn in Inca culture and its spiritual significance. Afterward, we will visit the picturesque Maras Plaza and its famous Street of Colonial Facades – Jerusalem.
Finally, we will return to Urubamba at 4:00 a.m., culminating this transformative journey in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
But if you also booked your participation in the exclusive Andean Worldview Workshop, we will head to the home of the Andean Shaman, who will be waiting for you to begin a ceremony tailored just for you. Here, we will welcome you so you can connect with ancestral energy. You will participate in the creation of the Andean offering. You will be able to question the coca leaf and, through it, connect with our guardian Apus—a truly mystical and transformative journey.
