Kapaq Intiy Raymi – The Sacred Festival of Tata Inty (Father Sun)
Kapaq Intiy Raymi is the Quechua name for the most significant festival honoring Tata Inty (Father Sun) in South America. This sacred celebration takes place across the ancient lands of Tawantinsuyo (Inka Empire) every December 21st, coinciding with the summer solstice in the Southern Hemisphere.
